~ Gone Dancing ~

On Saturday night, Douglas was kind enough to take Joel, Cullen, Leigh, and I to a civil war dance. It was mostly my idea and the condition was set that if anyone else wanted to go...they had to dance at least once. Douglas was exempt because he was the driver, but Cullen, Joel, and Leigh danced...and much to my surprise...ended up liking it!

Can you believe me?! I didn't take a single picture! I brought the camera and wanted to, but never got around to it. You'll just have to take my word for it that the place we danced at was very nice and all the costumes were wonderful!

I wore my dress. I found out a lot of things about it. It was very hot, slightly cumbersome, and people would occasionally step on it. I'm going to make some changes to the length and that should make things a lot better for future dances. :-)

I am looking forward to the next one!

That's great y'all had a nice time!! We went last year, but are just too busy at our new farmhouse this year. You probably passed by our new farmhouse on the way to the Fosters' house. We are on the same road (Genito).

I love the dress, that took some doing!! But I can see how it might be rather cumbersome in a dance :) I bet the ladies back then got powerful hot!

Oh, btw, thanks for leaving a comment on my blog! I'm afraid there is only one circumstance under which I can like a snake; it's when said snake lies squished on the road. ;) The old enmity is alive and well within me! :P
