Swimming

Swimming season is drawing to a close and we haven't done very much swimming, besides the few times we have gone to a friend's pool. Today, we went to a public pool for the first time in a long time.

I dislike swimming in public pools for many reasons, but mainly because I don't know who has been in the water before me. I overheard a lady preaching loudly to her daughter about all the nasty things that happen in pools and how she could possibly get swine flu from it all. Don't get me wrong...the pool wasn't dirty...but it can be hard not to think about that now and again.

We ended up having a great time and stayed for almost three hours. Joel and I spent a lot of time going down the two big slides they have. I think we down it just about every way that was legal.

We've already got our fingers crossed that we'll get to go back next week.
