I have been having a lot of fun recently with an online photo editing program called Picnik. My friend, Rebecca introduced me to it and I have really liked it. :-)
I do not consider myself to be one of the best photographers. I just give it my best effort and occasionally...I end up with some photos I like. I am always trying to learn more about the subject and perfect my techniques. My dream would be to do photo sessions with people, not necessarily as a business, but as a hobby. I have only done this officially once...and I enjoyed it immensely and would love to do more.
But back to the topic...
I have found Picnik to be a great photography tool. After I have taken my photos, I upload them there and play around. I do not like my photos to have a severely edited look, but it is fun to try different things out.
For example...
This is a photo I took in the spring or summer of last year. I liked the soft pink colors and the black bee, but this photo needed a little something.
I cropped it, following the rule of thirds, upped the contrast a touch, and added a hint of white matte to the edges...
There are also a lot of neat effects that you can use to change the photo's appearance.
Cinema scope...
Fonts are just fun. They add a little something special to headers, cards, etc...
