I am very happy to say that our dancing skills have greatly improved since our first dance more than a year ago. It's so nice to have a clue about what you are doing, instead of nervously wondering if you are going to catch on or not. :-)
I am the only person in my family who dresses up for these dances. Last year's dance was a mess for me clothing wise. My top was too restricting and my skirt was too long! I was stepped on all evening and came home with a torn hoop skirt. This year, I left off the petticoat, chemise, and top and just went with a blouse and skirt instead. It was so much more pleasant and I was able to enjoy myself instead of wondering when I was going to trip up next.
It's always fun to see people you know at these dances and I especially enjoyed visiting with Meredith, Abigail, Rachel and Sara over the evening! It was great to see you!
