It's been a good day and an especially nice start to a new week. I was able to get a lot of different things behind me.

...all four rounds in a doll sewing contest. Every round had a different challenge and it was difficult sometimes to get the inspirations together for good outfits. If I can do it, the benefits to winning this contest could be huge. It's difficult to get your name out there in my line of work and everything you can do to get yourself noticed is important!

I finished...

...my first college semester! So far, college has been a good thing for me because I have difficulty picturing myself going into an academic environment and being able to do well. It's not because I am under-educated and don't have the skills to bring...it's more about a lack of confidence. Going to college, facing challenges, and making it through has really helped me to realize that college is something that I can do. :-)

I finished...

...another CLEP test! I have worked incredibly hard on studying for this test, which was on the second half of American history. It was an incredibly broad topic and crammed full of information. I felt a little over my head when I was taking the test, and was so relieved when I passed.

It's a good feeling to have some important jobs behind you. I guess the thing that I need to do now is work on some other things that need finishing! :-)
