Early Mornings

I got up at 6:00 this morning. Typically I stay up to all hours on Saturday nights and then sleep in on Sunday. Last night was no exception and I was up past midnight night talking with Douglas. It's very hard to find time to talk because he is away so much of the time. One of my greatest regrets would be to wake up one day and realize that I never even bothered to become close friends with people I had lived with for 20+ years. So I will continue to stay up late on Saturday.

I got up because the lady that owns the store where I was taking my quilting class was holding a sale and was expecting a lot of customers to take advantage of it. She asked me if I would be willing to help her out and I said I would. However, very few people turned up to buy. If you think the economy isn't hurting people, think again.

I've been working as hard as possible on my quilt and a rather interesting custom doll outfit project has come my way. I have to take a little girl's bridesmaid dress and shrink it down to fit a doll. What I'm finding out, is that shrinking something involves a lot of time.

I once resized a shirt for my husband, and I can attest to the fact that shrinking something is a lot of work, and can be a bit of a headache! The shirt turned out really well-fitted for him and he loves it and would love me to do more but I'm not so eager to do it again!! :)
