Every year, during the second week in February, we hold "Secret Pal Week". Everyone draws someone's name from a box, buys some small goodies for that person and anonymously gives them to the person during the week. On Friday, we hold a party and reveal who our pal was. This year Joel was giving to me and I was giving to him. Typically, you don't end up getting each other, but it happened this time. The party has to be the most fun. We played all kinds of games, although most were too embarrassing to take pictures of! :-0 One of my favorite games had to be when we split up into pairs and one of the partners was wrapped from head to toe in toilet paper. Douglas and I were on a team and he really
really wrapped me well...

When we picked the week for "Secret Pal", we didn't realize that it fell on the
exact same week as Valentines. We have never made a big deal out of Valentines though.
At the end of the year, our Aunt Linda typically sends us a box of presents to enjoy as a family, instead of sending each person a birthday gift for their birthday. The gifts were delayed this year but did come just in time to open during the party. The theme for this years presents was presidents.
