I have had a great weekend! Some of our friends are caretakers for a lodge in the mountains. They go up every once in a while to check on things and they stay for a week or so. They invited us to spend Sunday and Monday with them. Leigh, Mom, and I were the only ones who ended up going.
The lodge was amazing! It was so big and you could look out and just see the mountains.
Mom took the master bedroom and Leigh and I enjoyed the loft.
Even though Sunday afternoon was spent relaxing, Monday was filled with canning applesauce. We made a trip to an apple orchard and picked through bins of apples to find the right ones. I don't consider myself to be a huge sissy, but uncovering the rotten apples was far from being pleasant. I had never made applesauce and even though it was time consuming...it was enjoyable!
You could see the leaves just beginning to turn.
