Quilt Show

Mom and I went to a quilt show. Because it was local, I was expecting the show to be small with handful of quilts. It was quite the opposite! There had to be at least a hundred quilts.

When you bought a ticket, you kept a part of it that had a number on it. Every half hour or so, a number was called out over the loud speaker. If that number and the number on your ticket matched, you won a prize! We didn't win anything.

And now it's time for lots and lots of quilt pictures!

Because there wasn't enough room on the floor, some of the quilts were put up on the stage.

This quilt had the state birds embroidered on it.

Here's our bird!

This quilt was called "Rattlesnake", but I cannot see a snake in it at all.

The handwork in some of the quilts is amazing.

A lot of the quilts there were pure works of art. This quilt was especially vivid.

Another quilt that was embroidered, except this time each square had a state.

Here we are again!

Some of the quilts that were on the stage...

I did not get a picture of the whole quilt because a lot of people were crowded around it, but each square had a picture of the lady's mother during different times in her life. I thought that was really unique and special.

There weren't a lot of vendors there, but it was still fun to go through and look at what they had to offer.

This is one of my favorite quilts. It's an I-Spy quilt. You have to try and find the two squares that match. It's harder to do than it looks!

And this was Mom's favorite quilt. I absolutely love this one as well!
One of the best parts about going to a quilt show is all the inspiration you gather! There are just so many different ideas out there and they are put together in so many different ways that are incredible.
