A Winner!

Tonight was Leigh's skating competition. She did a great job with her skating. Here are a few pictures from her performance...

I love all the details that go into a performance. The hairstyling. The music. The costumes. I'm especially happy that I get to take care of the hairstyling and costumes. ;-)

It is very hard to appreciate exactly how difficult freestyle skating is unless you have "been there; done that". I never competed, but I did skate for a couple of years and learned some dances, figures, and jumps. I was never fantastic because I had a tinge of fear that kept me from giving it everything I had. Leigh on the other hand, doesn't have that holding her back and she is quite good and certainly far better than I could have ever hoped to be.

Leigh was able to get third place!

Congratulations Leigh! I am so proud of you and I love you so much!

That's great leigh! I know alot of hard work went into your performance. I used to ice skate as a youngster...I could never do the foot over foot turn. Maybe you could give me some pointers :)~Mrs. T
